Chr. in monumentaler Größe wiederaufgebaut und der Artemis, der verehrten Göttin der Stadt, gewidmet. Bekannt für seine riesigen Marmorsäulen, bildhauerischen Verzierungen und außergewöhnlichen Ausmaße, wurde das Artemision sowohl zu einem heiligen Zentrum als auch zu einem Symbol für den Reichtum und die Kunstfertigkeit des antiken Ephesos.
